Research Minister Francois D'Aubert said the government will raise its investments in nanotechnology research and development to 70 mln eur per year from 2005-2007, up from 30 mln currently.
Speaking during a visit to the research facilities of the state-owned industry and nuclear group CEA in Grenoble, D'Aubert said nanotechnology research is a national priority.
'A market worth several hundreds of billions of euros could open up for our companies between now and 2010, if we succeed with this effort,' he said.
