Ultratech Has Filed Suit for Patent Infringement

Ultratech, Inc., a leading supplier of photolithography systems used to manufacture semiconductors and nanotechnology devices, today announced that it has previously filed suit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Division, for patent infringement against Tamarack Scientific Co., Inc. of Corona, Calif.

Ultratech has alleged that Tamarack has violated and is willfully infringing US Patent Number 5,621,813, in connection with certain products of Tamarack.

"Ultratech takes its intellectual property rights seriously and will not allow others to use its patented technology without its consent," said David A. Markle, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.
