Cambridge NanoTech expands operations in Cambridge

Cambridge NanoTech today announced they have moved the company’s Cambridge, MA headquarters, expanding laboratory and office space by more than 4X its existing footprint.

The new, 11,000 square foot facility, located at 68 Rogers Street, Cambridge, MA includes 1000+ square feet of state-of-the-art clean room space. The building will accommodate its growing workforce, expected to increase 40 percent by the end of 2009; additional equipment required to support research and development initiatives; as well as support for its ever increasing product line and customer base.

According to Ray Ritter, COO, “Cambridge NanoTech is experiencing tremendous growth, due in part to an expanding market for atomic layer deposition (ALD), a key nanotechnology for semiconductors, flat panel displays, and a host of developing technologies such as nanostructures. This move will provide the space and additional resources we need to continue our exceptional growth right here in Cambridge.”

Cambridge NanoTech is a world leader in atomic layer deposition science and equipment. The company employs scientists and engineers who research, design, and build ALD systems for university and industry clients. The organization is unique in that its scientists are the first to use their tools—testing the science, conducting research, and publishing results in key scientific journals and peer review publications.

Founder and CEO, Dr. Jill S. Becker, was recognized recently by Mass High Tech as one of the top 10 Women to Watch in 2009 and will be honored at an event on March 12, 2009 at the Charles Hotel in Boston, MA.

Cambridge NanoTech focuses on simplifying the science of atomic layer deposition for customers worldwide — from universities to the largest corporations — by delivering comprehensive services and versatile, turnkey systems that are accessible, affordable and accurate to the atomic scale. Cambridge NanoTech, founded in 2003, grew directly out of Gordon Lab at Harvard University, one of the foremost ALD research groups in the world. Learn more at http://www.cambridgenanotech.com.
